If you would like more details of the choir , please go to our Contact Page by clicking the CONTACT US button in the navigation bar and using the e-mail form found there.
We are a ladies choir made up from Crawley Down residents and from people from the surrounding area. We have been singing for 50 years having been formed originally as a WI Choir in 1969. We currently rehearse in the Oak Room at the Haven Centre in Crawley Down, meeting most Monday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30.

We hold two concerts a year in the Dorothy Hatswell Hall in the Centre, a Christmas Concert in December and a Summer Concert usually in June. We also sing out to local groups, often in residential homes. We have also been asked to sing at many private functions in the local area.

We finance our activities by members subscriptions which are currently £25 per term which includes music. We have three terms a year.

We have a very strong membership averaging about 25 ladies but we are always happy to enroll new singers, both sopranos and altos. The ability to read music is a great help but you should not be discouraged if you can't - if your voice is right, we will give you all the help we can.

Prospective new members are invited to sit in at a couple of rehearsals so that a) we can ensure the voice is OK and b) that they can see if we are the sort of group they could be happy with.

We are a member of the National Association of Choirs.
